Van Gogh Sunflowers

We worked collaboratively to make a large picture inspired by Van Gogh’s Sunflowers painting.

We are going to use this activity to help us make our own Sunflowers pictures, we will post these on the blog as well when they are finished.

Have a look at our pictures, they show how we made our picture, step by step.

Paint big sheets of paper all different shades of yellow and when they are dry cut them into small pieces.

Cut these pieces into petal shapes. Make sure you use lots of different shades of yellow.

Arrange these on top of a paper circle making sure you mix up the different shades.

When you are happy stick these down.

Paint a circle of bubble wrap, that is the same size as your paper circle, brown.

When it is dry stick it on top of your petals to make your sunflower.

Wow. They look amazing. I am so stealing that idea to use with my class.

Keep up the good work Muckhart!
